The complex landscape of management education

Management education and courses can be a complex landscape to navigate in.

To start, you must define for yourself what constitutes a management course and what is recognized as legitimate education. There are many excellent management courses, but because the descriptions and terminologies are sometimes the same, it can be challenging to distinguish the courses from the programs. Generally speaking, one could claim that in Denmark, education is exempt from VAT. No matter how long a management program is, if there is VAT associated with it, the Ministry of Education and Research will classify it as a course.

The basis for comparison is ECTS points (European Credit transfer system), which gives you, the student, the chance to judge how much study time a course or management education takes. The 90 ECTS credits offered by the Henley Executive MBA are equivalent to 1.5 master's degrees. As a result, the Henley MBA requires you to do more assignments than the vast majority of other Danish MBA programs and master's programs overall. Therefore, there are numerous other - and simpler - ways to obtain an MBA. However, the yield always comes after the effort with the quantity of labour, just like with many other things in life. In addition, Henley Executive MBA is among the 1% of MBA providers worldwide that has received triple accreditation.

The Henley Executive MBA is one of the top management programs in the world.

Henley Business School ranked No. 1 for international networking and in the top 10 for personal growth in The Economist's 2018 assessment of the top MBA programs in the world.

One of the pillars of the Henley Executive MBA is personal growth. Personal and professional development cannot be separated, according to the philosophy of Henley Business School, which was founded in 1945. In a sense, the first is necessary for the second. You, as a manager, need to be self-aware in order to be able to put the tools that professional development offers in the shape of new management models and frameworks into practice. Knowing your own talents and limitations as well as how they effect others is what awareness is all about.

You learn to accelerate your talents and make up for your inadequacies on the Henley MBA. In other words, focus on improving what you already do well and avoid letting your weaknesses generate needless roadblocks. Because of this, the Henley MBA includes a thorough course in personal development. More information about the Henley Executive MBA and our emphasis on personal development may be found here.
